It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around the Palmer house. I love decorating for Christmas. Although we got rid of most of our decorations when we moved out here, my parents were nice enough to loan us their small tree and give me all of my ornaments from my childhood (we had a tradition of getting an ornament each year. I have all of them from 1978 through 1996, and then 2003 - 2008). We need to get our ornament for this year and we'll be official.

Joe got some Peanut Christmas pics too. He's definitely starting to run out of room in there! :)

Thanksgiving 2009

Due to my fibroid, we were unable to attend the normal Palmer Thanksgiving / Christmas / anniversary weekend this year. It ended up that Ryan, Anna & Caroline couldn't go this weekend either, so the family (minus me) will celebrate the week between Christmas and New Year's instead. We got a new computer with webcam so hopefully we can figure out how to Skype me in for the festivities.

Instead of Indy, we spent a great Thanksgiving with my parents here in Colorado. Joe practiced his camera skills more and was amazed at the pics he could get of the flowers we brought over. We were going to get Doug the normal "inside the turkey" picture but the stuffing was in and the bird was cooking when we got to my parents'. Sorry Doug! :)

Miss Sonya enjoyed being with her grandpa again. He had been traveling so she'd been neglected for a while. Check out her happy smile!!

Of course she played so hard that she needed a little cat nap. Notice her bottle of "paw-lish".

Week 24 Update

I can't believe we're already to week 24! We had another appointment with Dr. Bozeman today. No ultrasound, but we did get to hear his heartbeat. It's so exciting to hear!!! Dr. Bozeman said I'm measuring just right and everything was looking good. I had lost a lot of weight in the first few weeks, but finally had a gain this time. I'm still down about a half pound from where I started, but I'm definitely showing now and Peanut is doing well. We got to talk a little more about the friboid. Chances of pre-term labor are low, but scary if it happens. The only other side effect we really discussed was what he called "excruciating" pain. He explained that both Peanut and the fibroid will continue to grow, and I will eventually run out of room. That's not something I'm looking forward to, but he did say that it won't hurt Peanut and that's really what matters!!! We're hoping for a new ultrasound picture at the next appointment in December. :)

New camera - let the bump pics begin!

As a partial birthday present to Joe from my parents and a Christmas gift to ourselves we finally got ourselves a new fancy camera. It has all kinds of cool features that we can't wait to use with Peanut. We're still learning to use it right, so hopefully we'll get better pictures soon, but at least we finally have some bump pics for all the askers! :)

It takes the most amazing zoom pictures - with a 20x zoom lense and 12.1 megapixels. We don't even know what we're doing and we're getting great pics.

And for a little while longer Sonya remains the focus of many of our pictures. :)
