Dually Licensed

On October 26th I was (finally) sworn in to the Colorado State Bar. Our camera broke a while back so Dad got a few pictures for us. Some of them aren't great, so I won't share, but here's our first "family" picture. You can't really tell from this pic, but I'm sporting quite a bump these days. I'm so thankful to Joe and my parents for their support in this process. It took me a long time to finally get everything completed, but I can now say I'm licensened in the state I live in again. :)

Movement for Daddy

Tonight Joe finally caught Peanut moving!! He was finally able to feel him move and it was one of the greatest things ever. Seeing the look on his face was amazing. He hadn't really grasped how exciting it is until he could feel the movement himself. He'll have to keep reading to him more at night and see if we can get the movement to happen more! :) And just in time to be an extra special early birthday gift for Daddy!

It's a BOY!!!

It's official - Peanut is a boy!!! We are so excited! I am now half way through my pregnancy too. Time has flown by and I just can't believe it! I felt that he would be a boy, so it's exciting to have confirmation. My mom, Joe & I went to the Level II ultrasound together on October 12th. It was a nice early birthday give for Joe and belated birthday gift for Mom. Dad was supposed to go, but ended up having to work. I think he was sad when we came home so excited and talking about everything we saw and only had these two pictures to show him.

This ultrasound was SO very cool. The ultrastenographer spent a lot of time with us and made a huge effort to ensure that we got good facial pictures. We got to see the chambers of the heart, many of his different organs, the little feet and hands and most importantly for dadddy, the boy parts. We love these pictures and are so excited to be able to share his gender with everyone.

Dr. Bozeman reviewed all the pictures and information and gave Peanut a glowing report. He said that Peanut is measuring just right and everything looks good. We did find out that I have a 5.3 cm fibroid on my right side. This was pretty scary at first, but after talking to some good friends and doing some research we feel better about things. One possible side effect is pre-term labor, so I am grounded from travel, but the chances are still low. And Peanut is just fine, so that's what's important
We love our Peanut and couldn't be prouder of him!!

More movement

As an early birthday present to Grandma, Peanut moved big enough for me to feel her/him with my hand on the outside. No one else has been able to feel him/her yet, but I can. I think since I'm feeling him/her from the inside too I'm more sensitive to it. We'll just have to keep trying for Daddy. :)
